Works in Progress Magazine
I worked with Works in Progress magazine to illustrate and design article layouts and full-page advertisements.
The first series consists of proposals for a single-page advertisement for the company Standard Ebooks, a free online resource focused on making classic literature accessible to everyone.
The second series was a double-page advertisement for the company Last Energy, a (somewhat daunting) DIY nuclear energy initiative. It was important to clearly convey the scalability of their product.
The third advertisement with the handsome man, is a bit of self promotion for Stripe payments (the magazines owners).
The pink illustration was created for an article exploring different marital customs around the world. Working with the magazine’s Art Director, Atalanta Arden-Miller, we selected images that were featured alongside the article.
The ketchup diagram is a bit of information design showing the development of ketchup and its ingredients over 100 years.
The final work is a full page ad for a company called “privy”. For this I conveyed the sophistication of the digital wallet, with a vintage charm.
